Observations from a Rock

same old

Well, I am in my office/broom closet and taking a break from busting my ass. I do way too much work here. I am sick of how slow people seem to be here. I want to get things done and everybody is sloth like here.

I convinced my boss that we NEED to go to training and figure out this stupid computer program to input all of this inventory that I have done. I am now up to the 5,ooo pieces mark and will launch past that as soon as I start on the furniture in the dorms.

We have zero idea how to use this software for what we want and need to it to jive with the handy dandy pocket PC with scan card they just bought me. Yeah sounds like I am moving up right? Maybe they should start paying me like it too. I will wait till my 6 month "probationary" period is over and start beating my chest!

So now if I could actually convince my boss we NEED training NOW!! We have to go to Rhode Island for this stuff. The good thing is that we set up the agenda and tell them what we want to know. What do I know though, I am just the new grunt that they can kick around and spit on.

I am also going to dial myself in for healthcare. My wife has been sick off and on for the last 2 weeks or so. I have been so busy I never went back to dial myself in for health insurance. So after her bout with the puke monster I figured I needed to make this happen ASAP! Wish me luck!

I am off to lunch since the douche bag IT guy hasn't come by to install my pocket PC yet...said he would be here bewteen 9-10! Blow me!

Well, I am not doing anything glorious or even high paying. I enjoy the job and people. I know that doesn't put food on the table. I am going to wait till my 6-months of probation are over and then I am going to be an ass about getting paid more.

Anyway, I work at a college that has no idea what they have as far as inventory goes. They just know that they are low on some items and order more. I have found that a lot of the guys here are lazy and don't even look for things.

So I am am in charge of creating an inventory for the campus. Should be fun and eventually pay off!
