lame-o

I went to my monthly writers meeting this evening and didn't submit a story. Due to me being a dumb ass. It's all good. Would you expect anything else from me at this point?

I enjoyed the meeting tonight and am almost sure that everybody there thinks I am a simple minded twit that has NO opinions whatsoever about anything. I sit there for 2 hours and say almost nothing. Meanwhile I am itching to say something. Totally not like me. Think that I am just feeling them out so I don't knock there socks off with full frontal me.

Anyway, I am going to bed and going to make the bad people go away. Wish me luck!

Dude - this may not be what you want to hear at this point - but it is written so you can delete it or hell, skip over it. My hubby was canned from a office manager job working at a Nursing Home many years back now. He was totally devastated, humiliated and the whole lot. He decided on a career change. Went back to school (that was painful in itself late 20 something and going to school), I followed him to WVU. It was a Ph.D. program and it took five years or so. No money coming in except my pitiful salary as a customer service rep. In other words, shit. Anyways, we had our first son at the time too. We were renting. Finally, he finished his program and began job hunting. Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Dakota...he interviewed in all these states. Nothin - until Nodak called back. We packed up our lives drove for 2-3 days with our 18 month old son to North Dakota. Once we got there, we were totally alone. I had some distant relatives but all my family was back east. Anyways, see diarhea mouth again, U of ND had lots of problems which he was unaware of when he accepted. Another story altogether. For the year we were there, he kept job hunting...flying here and there. Then, the college where he teaches now put an ad out. He got the interview and got the job. Hauled ass back east with kid in tow and now he is coming up for tenure.

I believe things will look up for you. Easy for me to say - I'm not in your shoes, but keep looking is my crappy piece of advice. Something will come up - may not be what you expect or maybe, it'll be what you hoped for. Either way, just keeping looking. And if you want, hubby can check around for you too...no charity just asking around. I feel for ya...best of luck. And - go ahead, give the group "full frontal" you. *wink* We can take it. Hope you know I was just teasin at the meeting and totally think they screwed you on that poly! Sounds like you got a great wife - hold on to her! *smile* And I expect to see some writin at the next meeting! :0)

The first comment was too long for me to read but it sounds like it was on it's way to being something inspirational. Real sweet.

Anyway, you curse quite a bit on your blog. That's surprising to me for some reason.

Through some sentimental things in the blog..(I only read like the lastest 4 or 5) so we can root for you! I already want to know how the lastest interview with the post office went.

Keep it real though. That's good to see!

Dee,

I have no choice but to pick myself up by the bootstraps and keep going! I know that in the end all will work out for me. It's just that 7 months without a job sucks ass.

I am always open to suggestions. What an X-mas! And we are still getting things so we can give to people that are less fortunate.

Dunno who King James is - when I clicked on his name it when to a bogus sight.

I posted a sentimental piece on my sight. Wrote it when my son was a baby. Thought you and your wife might appreciate it...being your boy is closer to the infant stage than mine currently is. :0)

Best of luck! Keep looking.
Oh - 'bout the box for the less fortunate - it's "good kharma" to give - or something like that, right? What comes around goes around? Hell, you might wanna hold onto those groceries, bud. *wink*
