Unhappy Camper
I have been apart of this blog stuff for all of a week now. I am pretty bummed out about me experience so far. I didn't think I would be an overnight sensation or anything but I did expect a comment or two. Maybe I need an agenda? Maybe people are reading what I have to say but don't feel the need to comment? I have no idea what it is.
I think that a lot of it has to do with the Blogger.com thing. I have been looking at other blogs hosts and find some to be attractive. They seem to have features that I want in a blog host/hostess. Ways to save favorite blogs, way to search for blogs of interest to me. I hate this random shit here. Then you have to weed through dozens of carppy ones before you find one good one.
Any suggestions as to where I should set up shop? I will be sticking it out here for a bit so I can drop a comment in some others blogs.

I came to your blog because I saw you commented in mine and I didn't know who you were, so here I am, checking it out!
Don't get bummed over no comments, often people like to just be voyuers and read along about your life. I find it very theraputic to blog, get things out there, ya know? And of course it is a good thing to do at work when you are bored! And also, blogs are a good place for those random thoughts that you have but can't find an appropriate place to share them.
Keep on writing! Check out some of the blogs I have listed in my blog, there are few gems, like dooce and Actual Unretouched Photo.

There are a few things that will help get you some of the things you talked about. You can get a free counter to add to your blog and that way even if no ones commenting, you can see that people are visiting and possibly visiting regularly. Blogroll is a good way to keep track of the blogs you like to read. Also, if you go to your own profile and click on the things you listed in you interests, you will get a list of people who have that same interest down. Also, depending on what site counter you use, you can often see where people were right before they came to your blog and that's sometimes good for finding interesting ones.
